Freshwater Bay is approximately 15 minutes away by foot, where you’ll find the picturesque pebbled beach, Tennyson Down (National Trust) and Dimbola Lodge, which houses the collection of Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. The world famous Needles at Alum Bay provides a great day out with the coloured sands, chair lift down to the beach, glass blowing, gift shop and café/restaurant.
The village of Freshwater itself has many local shops, supermarkets, chemists, cafes and pubs. West Wight Leisure Centre with indoor swimming pool and other facilities, Freshwater Golf Club, Totland, Colwell Bay and Yarmouth are all within a ten-minute drive.
